I usually delete links to the scam sites that are posted on here while moderating comments. This time however, I was curious to see what YoVille scammers are coming up with.
Thanks to Meryl who posted a link to the site on here. Meryl lost more than 50,000 coins in addition to different valuable items.
Every YoVille player should check this scam and warn their friends about it. Feel free to share your experience with scamming sites in comments but do not post links.
The address is yoville-premium.*****. Tempting right? This link will take you to a page that looks like an older version of YoVille.com. As you can see in the picture below, it has all the links to blog, forum, the official YoVille log, Zynga logo….
The spelling mistakes in the message should alert you. Unfortunately, most of the time gamers are in a hurry and don’t read carefully. It is a free costume after all!!
Here is the real YoVille.com page. Very similar.
Clicking on ” Play” will take you to a page that looks like the real application page. It has the YoVille bar, Facebook ads, and even the links in the top Facebook bar work.
The chat toolbar from the old Facebook design is also present and it works showing 0 friends inline and some notifications.
The fake YoVille bar:
The real YoVille bar:
Most tabs and link work. The YoCash window will open but you won’t be able to buy.
I usually verify an application by clicking on the small link at the end of the page but it in this case, the link forwards you to the official YoVille page on Facebook. You won’t doubt anything.
The ” Free Costumes” tab has all the OLD costumes.
The ” Free Collectibles” tab has all the cool collectibles.
Wondering if they put the me-rare collectibles? Well, they did. The dance floor, water balloon machine. stages… are all there waiting for you to send them!
And even rare clothes:
After you choose an item and hit proceed, you will be forwarded to this page. We all know that Zynga never asks for your passwords, but facebook does. Facebook connect usually asks for your login details.
This is what the real Facebook connect to YoVille looks like ( It is usually a pop-up and not a page).
I couldn’t resist trying it out, so i created an empty email and tried to login.
DO NOT TRY THIS WITH YOUR REAL ACCOUNTS.
All what I got was a dimmed screen of my Facebook home page.
Most probably the scammers get your email and password, log in to your YoVille account and transfer all that can be transferred to their accounts. We will forward the link to Zynga.
Always remember not to share your login details with anyone. Stay tuned for more.
WOW Z better watch out now maybe they got your info now since you was on their site.. This isnt good People look out the idiots is back in full force
Sorry If I sound harsh here, but do people REALLY fall for this stuff,? I find it amazing!!
MAYBE AN IDEA WOULD BE TO GET OFF YOVILLE AND GET AN EDUCATION!!!
Seriously man, some people are SO gullible.
Jules, why are you here if you think no one should play FaceBook? LOL
The scam sites are quite often mis-spelled. That is always a red flag.
The key thing besides the misspellings is that if it isn’t announced here when you log on to yoville dot com itself, you should know it’s a scam. Unfortunately there are dozens of categories of people playing this game and sometimes we tend to forget that older people and mentally challenged people (and yes, they play too) play this game as well. You may have just started playing the game and just don’t know the ins and outs of Yoville yet. It is the responsibility of the true Yovillians to report scams we discover, to report suspicious players, and to warn newbies of the dangers on here. The scams will always be out there. We just need to be a step ahead of them.
well i admit i was stupid when i did this for a free costume my mother had just passed away n i really wasnt thinking straight, they stripped my apartment dry all my collectibles pets clothing n cash gone i was a big fan of yoville since september 2008 to think a silly game can cause people to do this type of thing is rediculous, wish i cud turn bk time n realize how stupid i was
Wow Z nice post these scammers are really going out of there way to loot people. Good investigations.
This is just ridiculous. Yoville used to be fun, and now it seems like all people are doing is attempting scams. Why cant everyone actually earn their coins and yocash? I actually work hard for what I’ve gotten on the game. It just drives me crazy that there are really people out there who are so obsessed with the game to consider going to the extreme to steal from others. Maybe someday Zynga will finally do something about it. I also am one of the people who try to hunt down scammers and report them such as “best gift wins dog or 100,000coins”, “beauty pageant 100c entry, win 1000c”, or “leaving yoville, donate your stuff”. It just bothers me. And I truly do feel sorry for those who have been scammed as I am one of them as well, but what we all have to do is report them. Does anyone know if Zynga even does anything with the reports? I feel like I have reported dozens of people and have never seen any of them removed.
Don’t visit any fake websites, and remember never give your email and password!!
Hello Yoville Loungers!
Thank you for the post Zak and thank you for warning the people of Yoville with your experiment!
I have been scammed but I have never been scammed in this way..
I have been scammed for bad things for example like:
Retro Specks (Blue)
Astronaut
Ninja
(I have all these items back now because of some good friends, they actually scared the scammer and he gifted it all back!)
I have NEVER been scammed in this way, NEVER.
All it takes to be scammed by these things is a blonde day or just not feeling straight, like ‘Are you kidding me?’ clearly explained in a recent post. Thank you for clearing things up too ‘Are you kidding me?’! I love your name by the way! Ha!
Another thing.. I am very sorry for all your losses Susan Anne and Meryl.
I am also sorry to hear your mother passed away Susan Anne. :’( It is upsetting to hear peoples’ losses.. it is particularly upsetting to hear losses that hurt them so much. :’(
Thank you for the comments everyone!
~lil c
wish u could send them lol
what is the link
never go to a sight called yomoney.tk
ive see alot of these on yoville.com……….scammers leave messages saying, that they work for zynga and the person they leave the message for has been picked for a free costume of their choice. i should find one and send it to u here.
Now I have a question I fell for that thing and I agree it was a bit of a bad decision …. now I wonder what should I do with my account?
Get a life. True YoVillians? Lame.
im retarded so icks isse to twic mu
i got scammed ove all my pets and over 80,000 from saying they will double my coins and give me dogs back
It strikes me as interesting that people are so desperate to receive cosutmes and collectables that they are buying into these types of scams (And there are many out there)
This could be eliminated by making products more avalible to players. Also it would help to eliminate the class system in yoville.
This game is supposed to be fun and accessible to everyone. It hurts me so much that it is now only accessible to those with credit cards in hand.
Think about it ppl
I dont think its fair to put anyone down, or say how could you not know. We have been scammed and it sucks…what we need to do is be out there and watch, and report. Its sad that people are so selfish that they take the fun out of the game. I’ve seen people sell foster pups, and the person dont get it that they cant do it in a trade that it will have to be gifted? Now to someone who has been playing for awhile we would pick up on that…but to someone whos new or having a bad day it may fly over there head. It just really upsets me that greed is taking over. Here’s great advice i go by…now matter how good the deal is…if i get a bad feeling or something doesnt seem right i leave! Along the way there will be another great deal even if i have to pay alittle more in the long run.
The biggest most common scam that noone ever seems to mention are the whiteboard ‘art’ sales. Just last night I was playing went to an art sale with 4 whiteboards creeating a picture of al pacino from scarface. The guy was charging 36k for it. As a precation I told the guy to sell me one board so I could see the art, then I’d buy the rest. Sure enough when I went home to check the board it was blank. This has happened to me at least 5 times. You could say it’s my fault for still attempting after being scammed so many times, but there’s gotta be an honest art dealer out there somewhere! I’m not whining about the coins, I frequently buy yc. It’s the pricipal of the matter. Why does Zynga not do anything about this? Such a common scam I couldn’t be the only one who’s ever fallen for it!
In response to Gay and others who say, “get a life”…there are many of us who play Yoville because we are disabled and unfortunatly, cannot go out into the ‘real world’ and socialize like we once did. I am 51 and now relegated to either a recliner or bed. Yoville has become a bright spot in my day. On a very bad day in January while feeling quite ill, I fell for one of these false website scams. Normally I never would have, and that night was hacked and wiped out. Thankfully, after investigating, Zynga returned almost all of my coins, yocash, and rares that had been taken. I had provided them with the hacker’s website, a complete list of what was taken along with where it was located, and the approximate time of the hacking.
Please don’t be so judgemental to people who spent a lot of time on ‘Yo” until you’ve walked a mile in our shoes…if you can make it that far.
Not to come off as a jerk or be disrespectful nut if you play yoville that often YOU KNOW BETTER
It’s a sad state of affairs that people have to be so greedy
i got scammed out of 10k cause a guy sold me a hacked colectable
i got sacammed for 3 rares
i love yoville.but i get so sick of the beggers and scammers.when i do not play games and give gifts too them. they report me by lieing. i spent a lot of money to play.i do not beg i buy want i want.i feel zynga should know better than that i would do that.it is very sad we can no longer have fun. like we use too. help us old timmers.
some one charged me too much for a lips couch 32k and ppl are going around buying peoples grey carpet for like 50c and selling it in their inventory for 120c
I WENT TO REPORT A SCAM AND GOT BLOCKED FROM SELLING FOR 24 HOURS
i got scammed over 100k and my 2 dogs and my bat and spider and 20 rare coustem and i am sad very much if ya can help me help me pllllllllllllllllllllllllllz
lol i used my second poor account i all i got is 100c lol
As a new player I have to tell you that scams and hacking are a concern to me. I am a caual user on the computer. I feel over my head when it comes to knowing what is legit and what isnt. I went to a sale and tried to but something and was cut off, being warned that the other player was doing something inappropriate. I have not tried to buy any thing since. There are so many beggers and ppl using profanity, that I seem to play the game by myself with very little interaction with other player. This is not what I thought the game was about. Trust is my real issue. I wanted this game to be a friendly place. I can only say Im not feeling it.
i think its just plain sad
ive seen my fair share of scamms
but one of my friends got that worried he left yoville for good because he saw some one get hacked right in front of him some guy was saying mean stuff to a girl and then said “watch it im gunna hack you” and next thing you know he did
he typed in the girls chat box “look you silly girl i told you i would hack into your account ”
when he told me i was shocked
there are so many sites out there that have hack ware avalible to just download and claim you can get yocash or thing like that
ITS DISCUSTING
i have been playing since early 2008
and the things ive seen evolve
but yoville is getting better
its the players who are ruining it
i also thing there should be an option for if u pay with yocash or yocoins
thanks
The reason this scam was posted is because it looks so much like the actual YoVille site, Almost identical. I know myself I don’t inspect the YoVille login page everytime i login to know EVERY DETAIL of it, I am usually just ready to click PLAY is the only click i am waiting on. I think a lot of you are very RUDE to the people who got scammed lay off a little bit it could happen to anyone with this kind of detail. This is an informative post of what to watch out for Not to condemn people for error. (and no i have not been scammed, I am here typing this post right? If I had been scammed I would have had a massive heartattack lol)

i got hacked by that website!! they took everything from all my 8 houses!!!
do not try it!! not even with an account that aint you main one
how to get this things
If you have clicked on this scam and given your pasword and havent been scammed yet, change your pasword imediatley, you might get lucky and they dont take your stuff.
WARNING TO EVERERYBODY:
There have lately popped up supicious groups on yoville like free money cheats and things like that DO NOT JOIN them, because they are a source for hackers to get emails and facebook profiles to Yoville players,
when they got you acount and email it is easely with a hacking program to hack your acount and take whatever you got.
So whatever you do dont join them or invite others too the groups
You dont have to spend real money to become really rich in yoville without hacking or scamming, you just have to start trading or buying items that are going to be rare and sell them when they are reare… and everyone can do that.
This is how reporting a person helps:
1. 5 persons report the offensive person
2. The person would temporary be banned from yoville
It is quite simple and would make the person go away.
There is a class system in yoville and i hate it, but you should note that very rich and classy people can be very superficial, so they are dead boring to be with,(if thats a comfort) but you should look for the people that dont care about how you look in the game.
There is a filter scanning through the events to avoid bad events, sometimes people get caught in these filters with an accident, this often happends if you write things like fghaiurgjkgba or something like that.
If you mean you didnt wrote anything bad or offensive report it to Zynga so they can unban you from making events.
If you have any further questionstry to check out the rules and questions that are posted on the Yoville forum. Or if youre lucky you can meet me in yoville as Birgitte
