A picture of the new YoVille has been posted on the official YoVille blog. The new layout is supposed to provide more space for decorating and a less clustered game window. There are two main changes.The live deals sidebar and the top toolbar are going to be removed. Wait, the top toolbar? How am I going to decorate my rooms?!
No More Edit Room Button!
The upper left corner of the screen is gonna be your YoVillian wallet. And seeing the prices of items those days, you’re are going to use it too much. At the top you can see coins and yocash icons and that will show the amount of money you have. An advertisement button for getting more coins and cash is found just below them.
In the middle the YoPoints meter is still there but with a new design. To the left you can see the name of the room you are inside and below it is the decoration meter.
It also looks like the upper toolbar will be removed and with it the show map, edit room, view inventory buttons.
OMG, How Are We Going To Decorate Our Rooms?
The bottom toolbar will have 5 main icons:
The three houses : Most probably will open a list of your buddies and their places.
The globe: Will open the YoVille map.
The party top hat: Will open the events menu.
The chair: Is the edit room button for decoration.
The sunglasses: Will be for changing your appearance.
A new chat log button will be also available.
Notice that there are no locks, no smilies, no actions menu and no camera game button. As we reported before, live deals and energy bar will be removed.

WOW, i liked the live deals. Guess all that impulse spending won’t be happening anymore lol. I’ll miss yoville’s version of the home shopping network, course my wallet wont LOL
No smilies or actions??? That’s bad bad bad – we certainly need chat log, smilies and actions – we do actions with all our friends and we use smilies all the time – and chat log – well … without it, its impossible to read the chat bubbles half the time.
I’m thinking the over 600 pieces of energy I have in my inventory are about to become useless … can u say spending a few hours deleting? =\
Could all of these changes be why half of my water tiles keep disappearing?

What I would like to see are more items that can go in these so called VOID areas, such as trees, rocks, flowers etc. I found one rock that would fit in that void area along with the water tiles. I wish the other rocks that were smaller would fit in those black “void areas”.
so is the energy thing all gone? Does that mean we will not run out of energy anymore?
I wish you would allow us to buy plain vacant lots..with NOTHING on it.. and most of all no more DEAD TREES. If we had vacant lots for sale, the creation of the beach would be much easier and more fun. Also please do not get rid of the water tiles or the beach stuff.
But I do need some kind of planks to make a dock and or decking over the water. thanks
ok so if we loose the actions, what did we work so hard to level for? and the people who havent leveled; do they get new things when they level up what what we got?

According to the news letter I got, we will still have the actions, and smilies but we will no longer have to pay for energy as they are removing it. So this is a good thing. That means saving coins and not having to buy food to re-energize. I personally love the new layout and think it will be easier to navigate through.
So we wont be able to lock our doors anymore???..:(:(:(..I love that feature!!!! so that we can hve one on one time with our closest friend???And please keep some way for us to convay our emotions to eachother the smiles and actions are agreat tool for our communications on this game.. im looking forward to all the new chages but i am soo super sad to me loseing some of these wonderful features..that iv have grown to depend on….please reconsider the locks.. i think they are a very important part of the gaming value i have loved so much about Yoville…thank you…xx’s
Remove the locks urggg I use them when ever iam remodeling or rearranging rooms. Nice to be able to keep peeps out while your working.
I WANT my Live deals back! I WANT my CAMERA (I noticed THAT’s missing from the new layout!)! I WANT to LOCK my room when I want! I WANT to find Gifts, Pots-o’-Gold, and Switchplates on the profiles!
I AGREE with the above users about an EMPTY LOT option, and more FLOATABLE objects to fill voids. Heck, how about some ROOFING options? And new and different PICTURE FRAMES, not JUST the baroque ones. How about some modern plain laminate ones in different solid colors?
The YV admins are destroying the YV experience, and giving me good solid reasons to FINALLY not spend as much time in here as I do. …Or leave YV and Zynga altogether.

Does this also mean no more visits to 25 friends, to get those coins too? Are we also losing that way to make coins? I see no friends bar at the bottom, so yet again, another loss of a way to gain daily coins.
I have to say.. plz keep the smiley faces i love using them it keep yoville a little fun with out them it would be kind of boring to express your love to some one and the happy face. so plz keep the smiley faces.
This is first and foremost a chat environment, so we need a chatlog. You cannot expect every person (and parent) to never leave the keyboard. Also, users want control of locking their room. Some peeps need and want their privacy.
We need a doorbell. The chimes worked for awhile but no longer work when peeps are in edit. Even a ticking noise that is forced through the speakers would be nice to have when someone enters the room.
Live Deals is one of the sweetest features of the game. However, the constant loading lags our end of the game. I hope you will consider just loading an image every minute or two. These deals are just to fantastic to discontinue as this also serves as an introduction to the items in stock. Why not add a buy/see the set now link so peeps can visit the store and/or have the set appear on the screen – for purchase?!
Almost forgot – it’s a big one – You moved one box so the chat log would not be overlapped. Will you take that idea and move and resize all of the boxes and popups in the same fashion – to not get in each others way nor overlap… and never cover the door where peeps enter the room. Our buddy list could have some transparency if the font was ;lar
Also, why can’t the peeps that are editing or in trade be faded out – so the other peeps can see that they are not available?!
Btw, we LOVE the smilies… please find some way to keep them
Would be nice if we could delete multiple items out of our inventory with one click [delete all], such as the ridiculous amount of mugs I now have. As for taking away actions…why?? We really enjoy them! Would be nice to make items available for both cash and coin, for those of us on a budget who cannot buy the $$$.

I would hate to loose my interest. Not being able to lock doors, would mean the end to auctions. Auctions can be fun when held by the right auctioneer!

Beyond tired of so many items being yocash and the new trunks you have us gifting cost 2 Yocash a shot to open and all I’ve gotten is coins for it! I do NOT like trading my real money for coins!
I agree with Babz.. make the items cash AND coin once in a while.
Every other game I play gives small amounts of the cash that you HAVE to buy away from time to time. Why don’t you guys try it? You don’t have to be so stingy with something that doesn’t even really exist.

Getting a bit frustrated with all the changes they’ve been making, I’ve been playing over a year, and I know if I were a new player…. I wouldn’t come back to a game that can’t make up it’s mind!!!
People u dont need the locks just go off line w/ur friend…no one will bother u and u can still chat….as far as live deals that some ppls only way to get things because they r cheaper….and an impulse to buy something u might not otherwise buy…the overall concept seems great we all need change….lets just see how well it works….if it doesnt well just dont play anymore….

I do not like the sounds of this new Yoville set up at all. When you changed the factory, it was BAD, and was changed back to old factory… Thank gawd! Now you’re changing yoville again? Why not do improvements that WE the PLAYERS would like/want/need? Like LET US SELL OUR UNWANTED HOMES, or be able to put our clothes in a closet, make more ways to get coins like it petville… KEEP the LOCK!! That is a great way to keep UNWANTED people OUT!! KEEP the LIVE DEALS!! Its a great way to buy something you normally wouldn’t see, because you’re not looking for it.
Why not ASK your PLAYERS what THEY WANT?

I don’t like the sound of the new yoville either, no camera, no live deals, how in the heck are you supposed to make coins on here anyway? farmville has millions of coins here cant now and wont be able to make any coins to decorate a bigger place anyway, so what’s the point?

whattttttt. i love the camera, i need the extra points i get. since you took away the yoville.com missions i do not get too many coins. i do log in and work 3x a day, the 4th time i am sleeping. i am on a fixed income and cannot arford to buy coins. give us more ways to make the coins or you are going to lose players. i spend 5 to 6 hours a day out here, too much, but i enjoy it. too many changes and i will leave permanently.
It would be nice if a ninja or dev would leave a response to some of these questions. Esp the ones where it seems we are losing the option of making money. Be careful and don’t get piggy and make us pay for more. You will lose….
and the idea of larger rooms is stupid. we already have trouble making them look normal by having to buy alot of furniture to fill in the spaces… i dunno who you all asked about all this stuff, but it wasn’t me or anyone I know. Granted, I don’t know tons of people, but obviously, people posting here didn’t know either.
I will miss the sales side bar. That gave me an opportunity to buy things that I would otherwise might not be able to. Helped stretch the coins.
I would like to see the locks and actions stay. The larger view of the room is very nice. I have enjoyed the buddy List however I would like to see the buddy list come back to where u can visit friends other homes with out joining them. I spent coins on teleporters so do i get a refund?

Yoville disappointed me when they started this new room decorating thing RIGHT AFTER I spent a ton of money and bought my house and decorated it. Now all my rooms are rated so low. Also, who needs a bunch of song and dance every time they decorate a room? What we really need is some extra bonuses of some sort for those at level 50 since we can no longer add yp. I like the lock room feature. Hate to see that go. I like live deals, that will be a loss. The best thing would be allowing it to be full size like the other games. AND THES BEST THING OF ALL GAMES would be if you could converge yoville and farmville. Like I walk out my door and go farming and earn cash that way too to spend on my home or on the farm.
And while you are adding and changing how about an affordable line of nice home items for us country people.
Why mess with a good thing?
Why take away the faces and the actions? This is how we express ourselves with our friends and also the actions are a way of interacting at parties, dancing, having fun with friends, joking around, etc.. And the chat log is beyond helpful in case we are in a room with a lot of people, it’s very hard to read all the “bubbles” before they disappear and it’s also helpful if we are in a room with a friend and somehow miss what they have said – i.e. you have to walk away from your computer for a minute – you come back – you can read up on any comments they made to you while you were away. PLEASE reconsider removing these items — they are all part of what makes Yoville so enjoyable and allows us to interact in such a fun way with our friends.
And one more comment – please also reconsider doing away with the “door lock” — this is also helpful when you are “maxing” or doing something the OFFLINE feature will not allow you to do. The OFFLINE feature addition was great — however it prevents you from maxing others while in the room with you or from following one another. The door lock is such a nice feature when you want privacy with someone.
DOOR LOCKS – must haves! as a couple others stated, this is so handy when u’r trying to max, get some strategically-positioned photos, etc… basically anything that will throw a wrench into your activities in-house, the locks prevent.
LOBBY – convenient goto! if i feel the need to just step aside and use the phone or tend to the dog’s needs, this is the ideal place to go, as nobody but NOBODY can pester you in there! i also find it to be a convenient way to prevent onesself from timing out of the server, should a personal activity take an unexpected span of time. i do feel, however, that anything past say 15 minutes should auto-timeout in order to free up extra bandwidth for other players.
CAMERA – now the camera is just plain FUN! this option also offers handy YoPoints & a little extra scratch to those of us without YoCash purchase & exchange-to-coin as a personal option.
SIDE DEAL Bars – kinda’ cool, although i haven’t used them but once or twice. they do give an extra place for the eyes to go when in an otherwise boring or even sparsely-populated/inactive room… i guess i feel it’s just nice to have the option.
sadly, i started my YV acct on MySpace, which doesn’t offer any ‘perk options’ as are found in Facbook’s YoVille. kinda’ curious why these bonus things were never incorporated via MySpace, but oh well, if it’s going away, what’s the diff at this point, huh?

I dont think there is anything wrong with the placement of the edit room, go home buttons or the buddie, camera buttons they are all in the white if you could move the stuff off the screen that would be a big help like the “buy yocoins/yocash”, “leveling”, clip board, and the energy. Some of that stuff is redundant.

Hooray for getting the rooms back to the size they were before the existence of Live Deals! I was hoping to get back my old job making fishing rods when the Widget Factory came back, but they gave us the older version which didn’t give us the choice of jobs/payouts as Widget 2.0 did.
I’ve also been lobbying for the return of Dizzy Drinks, but an increasing number of veteran players are getting disgusted by the ridiculous amount of price inflation that they’ve quit playing altogether. Also the release of more and more YoCash items isn’t helping make things any better.
All the cosmetic changes aren’t going to fix the underlying problems within the game. It’s like putting a new coat of paint on a car that’s sitting on cinder blocks in the driveway. Yes it looks nicer, but it still doesn’t change the fact that it’s broken.
